Michele began her artistic career as a wall muralist, exhibiting many celebrated techniques associated with trompe l'oeil style. Mastering the large and detailed, she worked her way into her current passion of oil on canvas. Since moving to Savannah from Long Island, her work has reflected breathtaking coastal sunsets, passing ships, and wildlife among many subjects influenced by her southern surroundings.
The pieces crafted by Michele are much different from those of other oil artists -- she creates textured, multidimensional images by addition of impasto for a realism approach. Her ingenuity has been acknowledged by enormous art shows in Missouri, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Be sure to see her gallery upstairs in Factors Cottage on 204 East Bay Street, Savannah.
